A Note from our Artistic Director...

Jerry Miller, Artisitc DirectorFirst off... thank you, our patrons, for making the 2011 season a blast. Unlike film or literature, a play is created anew each performance and great audiences make for great shows. Never has that been truer than with you, our loyal TOTR devotees.

It's hard to believe a year has gone by since joining the TOTR team. Sherlock Holmes and I Love a Piano were both terrific experiences, and I appreciate the enthusiastic feedback both shows received. It has been my honor to collaborate (a painting here, a prop there) with Judy Clemens, Richard Lauson and Shaunna Jones on the balance of the 2011 productions. None of these fine offerings would have been possible without the craftsmanship, hard labor, and bubbling enthusiasm of Michael Clemens, master set builder, and the lighting wizardry of Gary Kupp. Together it’s all made for a season of theatre that I'll treasure.

That being said, hold on to your hats and get ready for a fantastic 2012 season, fraught with fun & frolic. We kick off the season with The Ladies Man, a classic madcap farce. Then, we'll continue to tickle your funny bone with Kimberly Akimbo, a wickedly funny story of a teenage girl in her 60s! Next, it’s all-aboard the Twentieth Century, where witty banter and double entendre abound in this Ben Hecht penned comedy. Our fourth show, The Diviners, is a poignant tale of faith, fear and hope. This beautifully written show is sure to touch your heart. Finally, from the twisted minds of Richard Lauson and yours truly, springs forth Hooray for Holywood: Nunset Blvd. Your never-ending thirst for singing nuns with bad habits is about to be slaked. Guaranteed to delight “nun fans” universally.

So don't miss out! Get your Season Tickets today for a full year of theatrical delights. They make great gifts (for yourself and others) and, as always, they continue to be the best bargain in town.
Looking forward to seeing all of you at the shows!
